History Repeats begins with a photograph of a war memorial and transforms it through layered digital composition: vivid cyan and magenta pulling stone and bronze into unnatural light against a blazing red. The angle looks upward — power looking down, as it always has. The horse, close and expressive, reads not as full participation but acquiescence, carrying what has been placed upon it. Voices of dissent surface in the background, partially visible, pressing through. The work is not about the memorial. It is about the choice — power and authority, again and again, over people.
