Serenity Symphony begins with the rhythm and sound of the California coast crackling, tumbling, ocean-weary rocks trying to escape the crashing surf and being pulled back in. The horizon softens and the water seems to breathe. The 30 x 30 canvas holds pale aquas, warm creams, and translucent greens, the colors shifting through sea, sky, and foam. Painted in oil over acrylic, the surface carries a gentle luminosity with light rising through the layers. The brushwork is deliberate and unhurried, following the rhythm of standing at the shoreline and letting the surf come in, energized and renewed.
