Some people move through the world leaving beauty behind them. Madeline is one of those people.
She grows flowers on her farm and every week brings her harvest to farmer's markets across North County San Diego. Not just any bouquets. Arrangements that stop people mid-step. Sunflowers, daisies, garden blooms tucked together with the kind of care that shows. She is generous with her flowers and generous with her heart, putting both into everything she grows and everything she gives.
This small 12 x 12 acrylic started with one of her arrangements — that particular combination of a commanding sunflower, white daisies reaching outward, hot magenta, and soft purple at the edges. Abundant without being crowded. Exactly like Madeline.
Some paintings are about a place. Some are about a feeling. This one is about a person who makes the world a little more beautiful, one bouquet at a time.
Madeline's Flowers is held in a private collection.
